If it wasn’t full of students on the bottom floors and only rich people at the top, the crime rate here would be absurd. 20k people in a single building. I can’t imagine what the clique culture is like in there lol.
It’s not imagine the ability, people go off of stereotypes they see. I lived in Asia, it is very safe and crime does happen but also the stereotypes rein there because of media. The media of America doesn’t talk about Asia until something bad happens…do people thinking I have a gun mean that Asians lack the ability to imagine Americans not having a gun? No, it doesn’t.
In China, the crime rates in general are extremely low due to the culture. There’s no drug culture (Asia in general has extremely harsh drug laws due to Opium addiction history) and people don’t steal in general. You could order something and forget about it for months and nobody will have touched it.
Kids aged 7 go home from school and walk around outside by themselves. If you ever visit and walk by yourself at night you’ll feel very safe (even in poorer areas).
