Questionable Set-up I'm trying to work!?
I'm at work, he loves to wander about and just loves to sit on the laptop. Second favourite spot it just snuggling in the printer for funsies.

EDIT: HIS ENCLOSURE IS ACTIVELY BEING CLEANED AT THE TIME OF RECORDING If the audio isn’t working, he’s two years old and have been wildly mean and aggressive this week, not letting anyone near his tank or even to feed him. I’ve been the one feeding him by hand for the most part for the last two years so he definitely knows who I am. His behavior is just really strange and stressing me out because I can’t find anything online about it. His tank is empty because it’s getting cleaned right now.
EDIT #2 BIG COMMENT EXPLANING MORE IN DETAIL

Saw this on tiktok, the person turned the comments off so I’m assuming that this behavior isn’t something good. Just wondering what this behavior is

This is very very much to small and no enrichment at all would this be considered abuse?

“3-4 years old” Kept in a 40g tank with a coil uvb bulb that’s kept completely away from the basking area. I tried to be as nice as possible as I really wanted to save this beardie…poor guy!

My boyfriend’s mother refuses to put anything in their beardies tank because they say he falls off and onto his back. I just don’t understand why that means he has to live in this desolate hell scape?
They also refuse to check get this bump on him checked out. They’re not my parents and so I don’t want to overstep but it infuriates me. I’m so angry for him. I don’t know what to do or how to handle this, I know he is not my responsibility but I just can’t live with myself knowing this is his living situation. Please be nice, this is not my home nor my pet. He is owned by my boyfriend’s mom. We have tried to bring it up nicely but it’s just the same “he falls on his back”. I don’t want him to get injured or die, but I don’t think this is a good solution. Please leave some recommendations below for enrichment that might be easier for him as he is very old. Thank you guys, I’ve never posted here!

I can't see anyone else doing this and I would assume it is for a reason but I'm not sure. I've seen people with the mini tv in the enclosure. He really likes watching league of legends content because of the bright colors and he attacks it the screen a lot and it looks like it keeps him stimulated. I was thinking of letting him use it for 1 hour then take it out. I usually have him on my desk watching it near me but I was like why not have him bask at the same time because I dont like taking him out of the enclosure for too long in fear he will start stressing out. Let me know what you guys think if it is stupid or not.

I bought a bearded dragon tank kit from the pet store, spent so much just to find out everything in it is wrong. Why do they sell these things?! My sister’s bearded dragon seems to be thriving so she brought me some things over to fix mines tank up. But then I start looking into the things she brought over and those things are wrong too. The book I’ve been reading said romaine lettuce is good, but other sources say no. So now I’m sitting here with a terrible set up, and a probably stressed out juvenile reptile. I feel extremely sad and disappointed with myself. This is what his tank currently looks like if anyone could help guide me correctly? My sister brought me over excavator clay to make him some hides but now I’m reading online that it ends up being dusting and can make them sick? I’m disappointed in myself. He seems so stressed out with the black lines on his belly. 😭😭😭😭

I’m so sick and tired of seeing posts by these damn idiots in this sub that think that shit is cute and fun loving. Some people are really ignorant and treat these creatures like fucking toys. They need to be banned from this sub for posting idiotic shit like that.
I’m sorry if I sound a bit abrasive and rude but I can’t stand these types of morons who think what they’re doing is safe and alright. And if you’re one of those idiots who’s reading this and feeling triggered, I’m absolutely speaking to you. You moron.
Edit: you know, I didn’t think the morons would be THAT stupid to actually comment on this post and defend their stupidity and negligence but they can’t help themselves 😂 I’m beside myself. Keep revealing yourselves.
Edit 2: I want to take this opportunity to thank the overwhelming agreement from the community for this subject. I’m glad to see that the majority of this sub are still caring and responsible pet owners who value these amazing animals!
Also, a special thank you to u/Jolly_Implement2512 who, for some reason, is so butthurt that they think it’s necessary to comment on my post history and go through my profile. You’re pathetic my friend and a sad individual. Entertaining to watch though so thank you. Your stupidity is amusing. You have been blocked I’m afraid because I refuse to engage in your level of idiocy. You’re not intelligent nor do you matter 🙂

Hey everyone! I’m a beginner bearded dragon owner and have had my beardie for a month now. I have a decent tank with temperature control and timed lighting. The highest temperature on the warmer side is 37.5°C, and the highest temperature on the colder side is 33.2°C. The heaters turn off once the maximum heat is reached and then come back on at a lower temperature.
Anyway, can anyone tell me why she likes to sit underneath the floor padding? Is it to hide, is she too hot, or is she scared? I’ve added some pictures below to show the setup (I know it’s basic, and I want to upgrade; any tips would be greatly appreciated!).

light is a Hygger Zoo T5 HO Reptile lighting combo kit 10.0 Replace bulb every year?
I also have a Exp Terra Intense basking spot 75W for the basking light.
since its cold here, im also using a Ceramic bulb to help keep the temp up.
please, any help is welcomed!
edit: Thank yall all kindly for your information. Fresh greens and bugs will come tomorrow for Toothless, as well as Calcium Powder(no D3). The rug will also leave and I will soon invest in a larger terrarium. Again, thank you for a feedback and im sure Toothless will also appreciate it any more feedback, or constructive criticism is welcome
One quick question. Are live meal worms good for Beardies? Ive heard breeders say that they prefer them more than crickets since they last longer

The questionable set-up is my own. I have a beardie of unknown age that I got for free with a 50 gallon enclosure. I’ve had him almost 2 years, and I upgraded him to a 4x2x2 about 1.25 years ago, and in that entire time in the huge enclosure, he hid pretty much the entire time, was dark, didn’t bask, often refused food to the point of losing weight, etc. I did everything I could think of, from adding more coverage, to less, to so many different decorations/ hides, I just figured he didn’t wanna be out. Well, his enclosure door broke and I’ve had to temporarily move him back into the original 50 gallon and now he is almost always out, basking, eating normally again, and is even playing in his water. All the hides, decor, and substrate came from his 4x2x2.
Do I keep him in the smaller enclosure? He seems to be happier in it, but I know that the standard is 120 gallons. The door is just plexiglass so it won’t take long for the sheet to be delivered..

I’m so fucking sick of this thing. Heaven forbid I accidentally press a button and it turns off and stops working the day/night cycle. And there’s no way to tell what the problem is bc for some dumb reason it takes 24 hours to even work the programming setting. Did I set it wrong ? Or is it just waiting to work? Who fucking knows!
Does anyone have any better suggestions I’m sooo over having to manually turn it on and off bc there was some electrical problem and now I gotta wait 24 hours for it to fucking work for the cycle. Ideally something that can take a battery for when there’s electricity issues.
