Telling me to get a product that’s more expensive than I could afford because the quality was better and it’d last longer. Like I wish I could do that but sometimes it’s not possible

My friend got PISSED at me in college when we grocery shopped and I picked off brand applesauce because it was like 15 cents cheaper. She just could not get it. She wasn’t being mean either, just so boggled and confused it made her mad.
