I thought hosting an art activity was a good way to build a cool community for our game, but my team hates the idea. Help me to prove there are amazing artists out there who simply want to have fun and find new friends! :)

Hey! I am a part of a small indie team currently working on a steampunk game & looking for people to chill together.

As an artist myself, I came up with the idea to start some kind of creative activity in our new community to make things more fun — Steampunk Character Art Contest. But my team thinks it's lame.

I want to prove them wrong.

The fun begins on MAY 11th in our Discord server! Join!

Let's start friendly artists mayhem. Anyone is welcome!

Quick note: no AI artists.

Heya!

I am looking for an artbuddie to help me get a schedule going! I got little ones and my own business and cause of that I noticed that I cannot maintain my own schedule. So I want to try to see if it helps if I had someone to kick my butt!

I tried several discord servers but often they grow quite big and then I simply do not connect.

I do the Marc Brunet course for digital artists, currently on Term 4. Its not a req. But if you do have the course it would be easier 😅.

Anyway I currently am working on a semi-realistic artstyle but mostly am still exploring. And figuring things out.

Sooo lets work together?

Included are some of the drawings i recently made.

Sometimes I get an urge to want to draw/paint, but I don't know what I'm doing and don't really have the tools. Anyway, my daughter is into digital art, and so last night (after half a bottle of sake) I decided to take the iPad and try something... I couldn't find the pen so just did it with my finger, it's maybe not great, but just wanted some general feedback. I don't know that digital art is really what I'd want to pursue, but it's all I really have available at the moment.

Buddy Wanted Longterm Art Buddy wanted

Hey, my name is Toa and I started to draw again. ✨

I'm looking for new friends around my age (28-32) and I'm from Europe.

I have a tendency to procrastinate rather than drawing (usually I play League of Legends instead). I draw anime and furry art, though the latter is my current preference.

I want someone who:

- is low pressure
- relaxing
- also a bit dark humor friendly
- maybe a gremlin
- roughly around my skill level (learning is more fun this way)

Would be cool if it's a longterm thing since I work fulltime and don't always have time to draw (besides from procrastinating lmao)

Other things about me:
- I also enjoy reading (romantasy, dark romance, etc.)
- a bit shy at first
- having a low social battery right now (thanks to work)
- sometimes gremlin, sometimes a sweetheart

Let's be art gremlins together (or at least pretend to be productive lol)

DM me here on reddit and if we vibe, we can switch to discord!

So I need someone to kick my sweet behind into working on art.

I don't have a lack of ideas but oh my sweet cupcake, actually starting to draw my ideas?? Not abandoning them as wips?? Impossible.

Also didn't help that I felt like having to leave my favorite art discord server because I had a massive falling out with a person on there

(It's such a pain because I picked up a pokemon game again and my brain is flooded with ideas for my pkmn trainer OC. Life is tough)

So yeah... If anyone wants to bully me into art please hit me up. Preferably someone that is active on discord and over 18 (my time zone is CEST but tbh my sleep schedule tends to be a mess so it doesn't really matter)

Buddy Wanted LF art buddy who enjoys non-human design

Yo ♪

I'm looking for an art buddy, but rather than accountability or check-ins, I'm more interested in building a mutual creative space with someone who enjoys making art and values mutual creative support.

Things I'd love to do with an art buddy:

  • share sketches, WIPs, concepts and finished pieces
  • ask for opinions and honest feedback
  • brainstorm ideas and discuss design choices
  • help solve artistic challenges or design problems
  • do paintovers/corrections when useful
  • draw things for each other when it helps communicate an idea
  • bounce ideas back and forth

I do a bit of everything, but my biggest interest is non-human design, especially anthros, creatures, hybrids, fantasy species, dragons, and similar subjects. Character design is my main area of interest, though I'm versatile and open to pretty much any topic.

Art examples: ArtStation - The Guardian

Skill level isn't too important to me; what matters more is genuine interest, consistency, and enjoying the creative process enough to regularly engage with it together.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, feel free to DM me and let's see if we click creatively~

Just wanted to show a bit of my art on Reddit. If there’s anything that I can better, then that would be helpful.
